Objectives of the course:
Small-angle x-ray scattering (SAXS) has during the last decades become a very important tool for low-resolution structural investigations of macromolecular complexes in solution. On Friday, November 20th, 2015, we have the pleasure of having a full day tutorial on biological application of SAXS with experts from EMBL-Hamburg and University of Sao Paolo, Brasil. The lectures series includes the Distinguished iNANO lecture by Dr. Haydyn Mertens and a lecture by Prof. Cristiano L.P. Oliveira with many examples of application of the technique. The rest of the lecture series includes an introduction to SAXS and lectures by Dr. Haydyn Mertens and  Dr. Alejandro Panjkovich, EMBL-Hamburg, that addresses the main methods and  programs of the ATSAS package developed at the EMBL-Hamburg.
