Autumn School

Participants at the 2016 iNANO Autumn School

The iNANO Autumn School is an unique opportunity for you as a PhD student at iNANO to get to know the other PhD students and get new knowledge about nanoscience.

The main focus will be on the ongoing research at the institute, with oral presentations from part B students and poster presentations from part A students. The best oral and poster presentations will be awarded.

  • Oral presentations should last approximately 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of questions from the audience and feedback.

  • Poster presentations will be held in two sessions. Part A students will have one session to stand close to their poster presenting their research, and one session to walk around and observe the other posters.
  • A complementary theme of this Autumn School is transferable skills. More information will follow.

During the weekend there will be numerous occasions for socializing and networking, including dedicated sessions and maybe even a bowling tournament.

PhD students enrolled at the iNANOschool (Nanoscience PhD programme) can attend for free.

PhD students whose supervisor is affiliated with iNANO, but who are not enrolled in the iNANOschool may participate and are asked to pay a contribution of 2500 DKK to cover accommodation expenses.

If you have any questions or comments or if you are not able to attend the iNANO Autumn School please inform PhD administrator Maria Kragelund (
