Christmas decoration

UIC Christmas decoration workshop

Come one, come all to our yearly Christmas preparations! Join in this traditional Danish activity, where everyone, from children to adults, and friends, are all welcomed (and encouraged!) to participate in the annual 'juleklip' (Christmas clipping).

You will be guided through making the customary Danish paper heart, a recognizable symbol for Scandinavian Christmas by Karen Margrethe Olsen, who is very skilled! All materials will be provided for free, and you can go for a simple red and white checkered heart, or challenge yourself with something more sophisticated.

All efforts are encouraged, but if you find that your fingers are not as nimble as others', you are welcome to simply enjoy the festivities and the delicious 'æbleskiver' (apple slices).

Location: Conference Room 2, Dale T Mortensen Building 1650, Høegh-Guldbergs Gade 4, 8000 Aarhus C. Use the entrance to Dale’s Café. Go inside the building, walk to the right and down the stairs. See map.

All are invited – also your children. If you need more information, or have any questions please contact Gitte Haahr-Andersen via gha@au.dk.
