Free Crash Course in Danish

An intensive two-week Danish course for beginners designed especially for international staff members of Aarhus University and accompanying partners who would like to learn a lot of basic Danish in a short time. Application deadline 1 April 2018.

2018.03.13 | Lene Bekker Lassen

As an international staff member at Aarhus University or an accompanying partner, you are invited to participate in a Crash Course for beginners held by Lærdansk Aarhus in weeks 16 and 17, (16th  – 26th  April).

The Crash Course is an excellent way to get started learning Danish. You will cover a lot of basics in these two weeks that will boost your conversational skills and give you a good foundation to build on. We recommend that you continue on a full semester course or 100% online netdansk after the crash course to learn more.

Application DEADLINE: 1 April 2018

New fee for Danish courses from July

A new law is expected which will introduce a fee of 2000 DKK per module from July 2018. So if you are thinking about taking a Danish class, we encourage you to start before that date. This crash course is in April and is therefore still free of charge (if you have arrived in Denmark recently). We also recommend that you complete module 1 and start on module 2 before July so you won’t have to pay for module 2 either.

You can apply online using this application form

SCHEDULE: Weeks 16 and 17, (16th  – 26th  April), from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 11:30 (no classes Friday the 27th due to the holiday “Store Bededag”).

PLACE: International Centre, Høegh-Guldbergs Gade 4, 8000 Aarhus C
