Learn Danish your way

At Lærdansk Aarhus, you can learn Danish your way. You can take Danish lessons at the language school, at your workplace or online - whenever it suits you.

Lærdansk has a focus on everyday language, and you will learn words and phrases that are immediately applicable to your life in Denmark, both on and off work. All of the courses at Lærdansk are consistent with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). You can choose between two systems: 1) Danish Courses (FVU) and 2) Danish Language Education.

Danish Courses (FVU)

  • Free of charge
  • Consists of 5 levels
  • Optional test after level 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • The tests concluding level 2 and 4 give certain formal rights
  • Requires basic knowledge of Danish before you can start.

Danish Language Education

  • Deposit: 1250 DKK
  • 2000 DKK per module
  • Consists of 5-6 modules
  • You complete each module with a mandatory test
  • You can take “Prøve i Dansk” at the end, which gives certain formal rights.

Get ready for Danish Courses in the FVU-system

If you are a complete beginner or just not quite ready to start directly on the Danish course FVU, you can get ready by taking our preparation course that will prepare you for the free Danish course (FVU). It consists of 50 lessons.

We have evening courses and crash courses on campus. We also have several courses at Lærdansk premises:

  • mornings
  • afternoons
  • evenings
  • Saturdays

If your schedule does not allow you to attend a class with a specific schedule, you can join Netdansk – our 100% online lessons within the Danish Language Education system.
