The Reformation changed Europe. The impact of the Reformation can be traced into many different aspects of society and culture. This talk will give (1) an introduction into the origins of the Lutheran Reformation, Luther’s thoughts, his dissatisfaction with medieval religiosity, and his new understanding of the gospel, (2) a survey of areas that became influenced of the Reformation, and (3) it will show, how Luther’s appreciation of music can be a door to his way of understanding the Gospel. All are sincerely welcomed to this seminar.
