New rules about free Danish education

From 1 July 2017 new rules about free Danish education for adult internationals will be implemented. The new rules will have an impact on current and future course participants.

Danish Education

The course 'Danish for the labor market' will end by 1 July 2017. Course participants who are already enrolled in the course will automatically continue their free Danish course on Danish education 1, 2 or 3. This also implies for new course participants. The free Danish language course must be completed within 3 years of referral from the municipality.


The Danish language course is still free, but new course participants must make a DKK 1.250 deposit before beginning the course. The full deposit will be returned when a course participant finish or decide to discontinue the course.
