The American Election 2016 (International Community)

Join International Community and City of Aarhus on the morning of 9 November for a live coverage of the final moments of the American election. There will be presentations, an American inspired breakfast and networking.

Follow the results of the American election with International Community.

Professor Hans-Henrik Holm will comment on the media coverage of the election, while Ken Cordes, an American living in Denmark, and Rasmus Frøkjær Bonde, a Dane who has just returned from the states, will discuss their perspectives on the election.

The event is free of charge but you need to sign up by November 4th 2016.

Speakers

  • Marc Perera Christensen, Second Deputy Mayor, Chairman of the Internationalization Board in Aarhus: Marc Perera Christensen, who has been a member of Aarhus City Council since 2006, bids everyone welcome.
  • Hans-Henrik Holm, Jean Monnet Professor in International Journalism, Danish School of Media and Journalism: Hans-Henrik Holm is responsible for the education of international affairs and globalization at The Danish School of Media and Journalism. Hans-Henrik Holm will talk about the media coverage of the election.
  • Ken Cordes, Managing Director, Emerson Climate Technologies: Ken Cordes will give a personal view on the election as an American living abroad. Ken Cordes has lived in Denmark since 2007.
  • Rasmus Frøkjær Bonde, Vice-President Organisation & Business Development, MacArtney Inc.: Just returned from the US, Rasmus Frøkjær Bonde will discuss how it was like to live in the US during the election as a Dane.
