UIC Christmas Party

The 19th UIC Christmas Party is an annual event for family and friends – couples, singles, internationals, Danes, youngsters and seniors are all invited and welcomed to attend. At this festive time of the year, it is great to be among family - so join us, your international family!

At the UIC we are open to people from all backgrounds, including of all cultures. Even if you do not follow the religious aspects of Christmas, this is an event just as much about socialising and having a lovely time with your international friends, as it is about the religious holiday itself. We encourage everyone who enjoys a warm and cosy atmosphere to attend.

Dancing around the Christmas tree

Here in Denmark, Christmas is one of the biggest holidays and there are many festive traditions that go along with it. At our Christmas Party we introduce some of the most common customs including dancing around the christmas tree, singing carols, and playing games. There will be a gift exchange (value of apx. 20 kroner) so please bring a little something if you would like to participate in the gift exchange.

'Juleklip' (making christmas decorations) is a traditional Danish activity, where everyone, from children to adults can participate. Again, Decoration Specialist Karen Margrethe Olsen will be there to guide you through making lovely decorations. All materials will be provided for free.

When and where

The UIC 19th annual Christmas Party will take place from 3pm to around 5:30pm in Stakladen, the canteen at the AU Student House. Last year 202 signed up – join and help us grow the UIC family!
