English Couple Therapy Spring Offer

When couples decide to move abroad together, this can deepen their relationship. But sometimes for this to have significant adjustments need to be made.

If the decision to move abroad required sacrifices from one of the parties, there will always be a risk of growing resentment in the relationship over time. To avoid this, many aspects of the relationship have to be renegotiated and this requires strong communication skills.

Couple therapy has well-documented positive effects on communication skills and relationship satisfaction. It helps couples feel more connected and more loving. This therapy is relevant for couples who would like to strengthen their healthy relationship as well as for couples who are already struggling with maintaining intimacy and positive communication.

The University Clinic at the Department of Psychology in Aarhus University is offering during this spring semester a reduced price in therapy for English-speaking couples. Sessions fees are 500kr per hour and conducted by experienced clinical psychologists.

Both therapists, affiliated with the University Clinic, will be trained during this spring by an American consultant in an evidence-based method called Integrated Behavioral Couple Therapy - ICBT, reason why they are inviting English-speaking couples to attend these therapies at half the normal price.

Please note sessions will be audio recorded for training purposes. The session are scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, each session last 1 hour, and the number of sessions is up to the couple to decide.
