Since our wonderful UIC volunteer Joy Dias has got an internship, she does no longer have time to manage the UIC Coffee & Games. We have been very happy with Joy, and sends her all the best wishes for the future!

Are you our new UIC Volunteer?

At the UIC, we are looking for a new volunteer to manage the UIC Coffee & Games. This initiative takes place every other week on a Wednesday morning from 10:00 - 12:00 at the Royal Danish Library on AU Campus. However, we can be flexible in terms of organising a new day and time that fits the new volunteer the best.

As a volunteer for the group, you will welcome new people joining, and help to make sure that a good atmosphere remains among participants. It is an initiative for internationals to meet, exchange information on how it is to live in Aarhus, and to inspire and encourage one another. Hence, bringing some games (some games can be provided by the UIC) makes it easy and cosy to meet new people and talk.

The main purpose of the group is to:

  • Get to know fellow internationals (and Danes)
  • Have coffee or tea together
  • Play (board) games - or simply watch other play if that is preferred
  • Enjoy a "hyggelig" atmosphere
  • Share experiences as an international in Aarhus
  • Share a (board) game from your home country if you like - this is a good way to get closer to the many different cultures

Are you interested in becoming our new UIC Volunteer? Then, we would like to hear from you.
Please, send an email to UIC Organiser Lene Bekker Lassen, and write a bit about yourself.

We are looking much forward to hear from you!
