PhD Career Week is a 3-day virtual event (20-22 April), where young researchers can join exciting career-related workshops, learn more about their career prospects, meet with companies and network.

AU Career PhD & JR is happy to present to you: Virtual PhD Career Week!  

PhD Career Week will span over three days, bringing you online workshops and company presentations, with relevant content for all PhDs and JRs across all 5 faculties of AU. Each morning will start off with workshops, organized in collaboration with DM, IDA, and The Kitchen. The workshops will be followed by company presentations spread over the three afternoons, each 45 minutes long.  

You can pick and choose the sessions in accordance with your interest and availability.  

Before the event, all registered participants will receive Zoom links for the individual sessions on the programme.

Career Workshops

8.30-8.55 Welcome to PhD Career Week ­(AU Career PhD & JR) link for all the morning sessions
9.00-10.00 Career Decision Making (IDA)

There are many career-paths for after your Ph.d., and the choice may seem overwhelming. This workshop will introduce you to 5 different career-paths and will try to address questions, such as: When is the right time to make a big career decisions? What can I do to prepare myself for the choice of career path? Will I be stuck on the career path that choose now? Who can help me decide such important decisions? And how?
