The university election - Your vote counts!
The university elections will take place 8 - 11 November 2021.

This year all PhD students can vote and stand for election to both the PhD committees and the academic councils. If you are enrolled as a PhD student at Aarhus University but employed elsewhere, for example Central Denmark Region or as an industrial PhD student, you can vote and stand for election to the university board as well.
Furthermore, if you are enrolled in a combined Master’s/PhD programme, you can also vote and stand for election to your board of studies.

Do you want to have an influence on your work and study conditions as a PhD student?
The university elections are your chance to influence decisions regarding your PhD programme and your workplace through the university’s democratic decision-making bodies.
If you are interested in standing for election, now is the time to get involved. You can also make a difference by voting for the candidate whom you think is best qualified to make a difference for your degree or PhD programme.
PhD students can always have a representative present at PhD committee meetings. But in order for PhD representatives to have voting rights on the committees, they must be elected.
How to stand for election
If you are interested in standing for election, you can register your candidacy from Thursday 14 October at 9:00 to Tuesday 26 October at 12:00. However, it is a good idea to submit your candidacy registration in the election system as early as possible in the period so that any errors can be corrected before the deadline expires.
