February, 2021

Our team at AU Career PhD & JR has been busy with the preparations for Virtual PhD Career Week (20-22 April), career counselling, planning of future events, and our mentor programme: applications for mentees opened today.

With so much on our plate, we are happy to welcome a new colleague: we are very excited to introduce our new team member, Dorte Petersen, who will take part in our tasks all the way from career counselling to events.

Dorte has a degree in chemistry and biotechnology from Aarhus University. She holds 25 years of work experience from different companies in Denmark ranging from biotechnology (Nunc), food ingredients (Dupont), and renewable energy (Vestas). She has held specialist as well as manager positions and can share what hiring managers are looking for in your applications and CVs. Her latest position was at the Danish Technological Institute, where she worked with business development and competence development of teams.
Check out Dorte's
LinkedIn profile for more information on her background.

Book a career counselling session with Dorte if you are looking for inspiration on how to transition from academia to industry and what could motivate you for that. You can meet Dorte for career counselling from mid March.
