Work Package 3 (WP3) aims to identify employer engagement approaches and strategies that enhance the doctoral experience for all involved, building links between organisations and individuals, and enhancing the employability of doctoral candidates.

WP3 is being delivered through a series of project phases: research, implementation, and evaluation.  Using the contacts and knowledge of the ExEDE Project Team, initial desk research on internal practice has been completed and used to shape a preliminary set of case studies. This has been supplemented by some research into external practice which will continue into the second half of the scoping year.  In particular, as some of the larger elements of WP2 are tied-off, more resource will be applied to identifying relevant external practice, including activities that are not currently targeted at doctoral candidates/education but could potentially be adapted for this purpose.
