AUPA Conference 2025

Join us for an afternoon dedicated to one of the most important — yet often overlooked — aspects of PhD life: stress and well-being.

We are thrilled to welcome Karen Johanne Pallesen as our keynote speaker. She will share insights into the bodily effects of stress and how to better understand your body’s signals during demanding academic work.

Following this, Michelle Ølgaard will lead an interactive workshop on burnout prevention, offering practical tools to recognize and manage stress before it takes hold.

To round off the day, the PhD and Postdoc Activity Group invites you to a fun quiz designed to lighten the mood and help you connect with fellow PhD students. And yes — there will be free snacks, food, and drinks!

Petanque Event

Come meet the members of Aarhus University PhD Associations members! If you are curious about AUPA, already a member, or simply looking to have a fun time, come join us at our petanque event.

Date: 27th of August

Time: 17:00-19:00

Location: Ingerslevs Boulevard, Frederiksbjerg

Pétanque is a sport that falls into the category of boules sports, along with Raffa, bocce, boule lyonnaise and to some degree, lawn bowls and crown green bowling. All of these sports share something in common, in that players or teams play their boules/balls towards a smaller target ball. The aim of the game is to be the first player/team to score thirteen points. Points are scored by having one or more of your boules closer to the target than those of your opponent, after all boules have been thrown.
