We introduce two upcoming workshops focusing on overcoming procrastination and managing the ‘research blues’ to boost your productivity. Unlock new opportunities for collaborations with industry through AU Connect funding
Aarhus University offers a unique funding opportunity to employees in an academic position at the university - this includes PhD Students and Postdocs. AU Connect funding is to support researchers aiming to develop or expand collaborations with private and public enterprises.
Whether you are exploring opportunities for new collaborations with companies, testing new methods of cooperation, further developing established collaborations or working as an interim researcher in a company, you are welcome to apply. AU Connect offers up to DKK 150.000 in funding.
Application deadlines:
- 1 November 2024 (application round in fall)
- 28 March 2025 (application round in spring)

Playing the Research Blues: Cultivating your Resilience and Happiness in a research context

This event is aimed at both PhD students and Junior Researchers.
Do you feel stuck by the demands of research? This workshop explores the challenges that many researchers face – often called the 'research blues'. This session offers practical tools to boost resilience and enhance your happiness in academia. In the process, it will also explore feelings of impostor syndrome.

This event is only for Junior Researchers at Health.
Celebrate Postdoc Appreciation Day with the Junior Researcher Association! This event is a chance for junior researchers to connect, learn from Career Ambassadors, and get insights on proactive career development in Health. There will be presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

How to prepare for working life after your PhD
Mark your calendar for November 27th from 16:30 to 18:30. AUPA and Postdoc Activity Group invite to join them in the William Scharff Auditorium (1253-317), where three speakers from Aarhus University and industry will discuss how to prepare for working life after your PhD. Following the presentations, there will be food and opportunities to network.

Embracing Diversity at work: The Job Market for Individuals with neurodivergent or functional impairment
Date & Time: 5 November, 16.00-18.00
Location: Online
Host: This event is held in a collaboration between the Career Centers at AU and Akademikernes A-kasse
This webinar is designed specifically for individuals with neurodivergent or a functional impairment. During the webinar, you will get tips and tricks on how to ease your transition from the life as a student to the job market. Furthermore, you will also gain insights into:
- Diversity at work
- Guidance on identifying your strengths and challenges in the workplace
- Advice on how to be open about your challenges during the hiring process

Fulbright Denmark offers Grants for PhD Students and Researchers
For researchers: Fulbright Denmark offers grants to researchers who are planning a self-arranged, combined research and teaching stay in the USA. These grants are available for postdoctoral researchers, assistant professors, associate professors, or full professors. The duration of the stay must be one or two semesters (4-10 months), and the grant amount is DKK 200,000
For PhD Students: Fulbright Denmark also offers grants to graduate students and PhD students for self-arranged study or research stays in the USA. The grants are DKK 50,000 for one semester and DKK 100,000 for a full academic year.
Application deadline: 12 February 2025
