We are pleased to welcome Dr. Monika Janfelt who will facilitate this workshop and share some of her many invalueable insights on the topic. Monika Janfelt, fil.dr., has extensive experience as a researcher, author, coach, lecturer and strategic advisor. She has specialized in career and talent development for researchers, and provides workshops, coaching services and individual development sessions as well as strategic advice.
Monika Janfelt holds a doctoral degree from Åbo Akademy University in Finland and has been an associate professor and a HR-and career consultant for several years at University of Southern Denmark.
Outcome of the workshop
The goal of the workshop is to encourage you to work with your own career development by providing you with tools to develop a conscious and focused approach to your postdoc and further career. The workshop will deal with the following:
- Understand how career planning during your postdoc will strengthen your ability to navigate in the research environment
- Identify pitfalls and helpers in relation to career progression
- Understand how to take the lead in your own career development
