We are often asked in the PhD & JR Career service how to approach and interact with industry. Join this workshop and learn how to build a network through steps, that are easy to manage and combine with your research position.
This event is relevant for you no matter where you plan to go after your PhD. An industry network will benefit both a career in the private sector and in academia.
Benefits:
- What is networking?
- What can you use a network for? And not use it for?
- How do you get in touch with the people, you would like to network with?
- What can you offer a network as a PhD / JR?
Speaker: Dorte Petersen, Career Consultant, AU Career PhD & JR, an experienced networker
Dorte has a degree in chemistry and biotechnology from AU and has built an industry career. She has worked in several companies within biotechnology (Nunc), food ingredients (Dupont), and renewable energy (Vestas). Cancellation Courtesy Policy
We kindly request that you promptly cancel your participation as soon as you know that you cannot attend. Late cancellations and not cancelling at all, greatly impact our work in three significant ways:
- Candidates on the waiting list are not able to attend
- The quality of the course or workshop cannot be guaranteed when groups are too small
- Prepared and paid resources are wasted when registered participants do not show up
Thank you!
