Whether you are new to social media or already have an established presence, Mike Young will provide you with practical tools and ideas for using social media more strategically to communicate your research and build meaningful connections.
Workshop instructor: Mike Young is an experienced workshop facilitator who helps researchers use social media and digital tools to build networks and increase the impact of their research. Mike Young is the former editor of the University Post at the University of Copenhagen. His agency Mike Young Academy specialises in social media career courses for researchers. His co-authored book Social Media for Researcg Impact (Routledge) was released in 2026.
You will get practical tips on:
- Communicating effectively on the platforms (LinkedIn and other platforms as well)
- Meeting the right people, and getting others involved in your research process.
- Uncovering people affected by your research on the platforms, who you have not previously identified.
- Maintaining a sustainable social media routine that fits into your working day.
