More and more academics move from research in an academic context to research in the private -and the public sector. Today more research in Denmark is being done in the private sector than at universities. The possibility of continuing to do research whether it is in a lab, in a consultancy or at a museum is thus quite high outside of the academic context and the positions offer challenging tasks, highly competent colleagues and often quite a good salary.
